The first funds raised by the One Name One Child record attempt were used to save seven abandoned children from Kawangware district in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Thanks to our donors, these children found a new home, bed, food, clothes and school in the Children`s Garden center, which is being supported by One Name One Child funding. We thank you for giving these children a chance for a new future.
The pursuit of a world record in the name of charity is a generous and responsible initiative. I firmly believe this campaign will safeguard the future of vital outreach projects in Africa and will inspire other non-governmental organisations, as well as regional governments or associations, to follow suit. By creating a register of donors, whose names are displayed for all to see on the website, this enables existing or prospective donors from all over the world to communicate with each other. For these reasons I implore you give of your compassion. Please don’t hesitate...
